At SMACC we are keen to all be growing in knowing, loving and serving God. We understand that the body grows as each member does its part, having been equipped by ministries of the Word. Here are some ways in which we are equipped, serve and grow together.

Hearing and responding together to God's Word is central to what we do at SMACC. Our sermons are expository in nature - we systematically work through parts of the Bible to see what God is saying to us through them. We try to work from Scripture rather than imposing our own ideas on Scripture.

To view subsequent talks (March 2006 onwards) or subscribe to our podcast, please use the Sermon Downloads link in the left hand menu.

We meet in small groups most weeks to study the Bible and pray together. Our groups meet in Petaling Jaya, Subang Jaya/SS3/Gasing, Dataran Merdeka, Mont Kiara, KLCC, Ampang and Bukit Bandaraya.  We also have an evening women's group that meet in the city as well as a group for college & university students that meets on a Saturday afternoon in church. We also have one cell group that is in a mixture of English and Mandarin - the rest of the cell groups communicate in English. For more information on SMACC cells please email smacc.info@gmail.com

For those who want to study the Bible in a group at a greater depth we run PTC groups. The Preliminary Theological Certificate (PTC) is a course run by Moore Theological College in Sydney. It offers modules on Books of the Bible, Christian Doctrine and Church History. Students meet on a Saturday morning or Monday evening to study together in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. If you would like more information about the course or are interested in enrolling please contact Gordon or Patrick.

SMAGOW (a 'SMAccing GOod Weekend') is our annual camp.

The first SMAGOW was held in April 2004 in Kuala Selangor - the theme being 'In Christ Alone'. Our speaker, Mark Ellis of OMF, taught us from Colossians.

SMAGOW 2005 was held in June in Port Dickson. Our theme was 'In Step with the Spirit' and our preachers were Joshua Ng from FOCUS (International University Church) at the University of New South Wales in Sydney and Chris Chia from Adam Road Presbyterian Centre in Singapore.

SMAGOW '06 was held at Frasers Hill. The theme was 'wisdom for life' - a series of talks on practical wisdom from the book of Proverbs covering work and relationships. Our speaker was Joshua Ng who oversees the work of FOCUS (International university church) at the University of New South Wales in Sydney

SMAGOW 2007 was held in the Genting Highlands. Steven Gabbott from CMS NSW led us in a series on talks on the Fatherhood of God.

SMAGOW 2008 was in Port Dickson. Our speaker was Andrew Reid of Ridley College in Melbourne. He spoke from the book of Malachi on the theme: God's People. God's Glory. To download the talks click here.

SMAGOW was changed to SMACAGOW in 2009 to include our church plant, ACA. Our speaker was Paul Harrington from Holy Trinity Adelaise and he preached on Guidance. The talks are available from the sermon download page.

We are involved with the rest of the cathedral in running Christianity Explored. It is a course designed to enable those who don't yet know about Christianity to find out more about it in a relaxed and personal setting so that you can make an informed decision yourself about Jesus. Please email smacc.info@gmail.com if you would like us to arrange someone to go through the course with you.

We have been equipping ourselves better to share the Gospel with others using the '2 ways to live' materials and have used the '6 steps to encouragement materials' in our monthly SMACC Team meetings. We also run in-house seminars and training events for our regulars to be trained in various aspects of ministry.

Some of our people in SMACC meet each other on a one-to-one basis for  Bible reading, prayer and encouragement.

Some friends who are not yet Christians also meet up with SMACC regulars who read the Bible with them one-to-one to help them find out more about Jesus.

We organise various events throughout the year to which we can invite our not yet Christian friends to hear the Gospel. These have included various Guest dinners, a rock concert and a number of informal dialogue dinners. Guests are also welcome to come along on Sundays.

Some of our members are involved in the Gospel Growth Fellowship which seeks to promote, propogate and defend a gospel-centred existance for the church of Jesus Christ. The Fellowship runs events and seminars throughout the year with this aim. Please see www.gospelgrowth.com.my for more information.
